Chocolate Beer Cake

1/3	cup	butter
1	cup	sugar
2		eggs, separated
1-3/4	cups	flour
2	squares	unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1	teaspoon	baking powder
1/4	teaspoon	baking soda
1/2	teaspoon	salt
3/4	cup	cold beer
	Stay Soft Icing:
1/2	cup	cocoa
1-1/3	cups	sugar
5	tablespoons	cornstarch
1/4	teaspoon	salt
1-1/2	cup	milk
1	teaspoon	butter
1	teaspoon	vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Beat well.
Add yolks, 1 at a time, beating until well blended. Add chocolate; beat until smooth. Add beer, then flour and remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth.
Bake in loaf pan for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
Stay Soft Icing:
Mix cocoa, sugar, cornstarch, and salt together. Stir in milk and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
When done, take from stove; add butter and vanilla. Spread on cake.
