Aunt Vi's Double Chocolate Brownies

NOTE: This can be doubled very easily and baked in a 9 x 13 pan.
2 | squares | unsweetened chocolate |
1/2 | C | margarine |
2 | | eggs |
1 | C | sugar |
1 | tsp | vanilla |
1/2 | tsp | grated orange rind |
1/2 | C | sifted flour |
1/8 | tsp | salt |
1 | C | chopped nuts |
1/2 | C | chocolate chips |
- Melt chocolate and butter, remove from heat.
- Beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored in a medium-sized bowl. Add sugar, gradually beating.
- Blend in flour and salt. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into greased 8" square pan.
- Bake at 350 Degrees for 30 minutes or until a shiny crust forms (do not overbake.
- Cool completely and cut into squares.
