Forgotten Cake


From the Kitchen of:  Sylvia

  • Preheat oven to 450°.
  • Beat egg whites until very stiff.
  • Beat the sugar into egg whites.
  • Add Cream of tartar and a pinch of salt.
  • Put into 8"x12" pyrex pan.
  • Place cake in oven and turn off oven. Leave overnight, no peeking.
  • Next A.M. remove - cover with 1/2 pint whipped topping (Cool Whip).
  • Cover with wax paper and refrigerate until serving time.
  • Cut in squares and top with crushed berries.
  • Serves: 10-12
