Put in bowl and mix together:
2 | C | All purpose flour |
2 | Tbsps. | White sugar |
1 | Tsp. | Salt |
4 | Tsps. | Baking powder |
1/2 | Tsp. | Cream of tartar |
1/2 | C | Butter |
1 | C | Milk, cold |
Knead gently 8 to 10 times. Roll or pat to 3/4 inches thick. Cut with round cookie cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet (close together for soft sides or apart for crisp sides). Brush with milk. Bake in 450 degree F, oven for 12-15 minutes.
