Refrigerator Rolls 2

I loved it when my Mother made these rolls when I was younger.
2 | cakes | Compressed yeast |
2 | C | Milk |
1/2 | C | Shortening |
1/2 | C | Sugar |
1 | tbsp | Salt |
1 | C | Mashed potatoes (lukewarm) |
2 | | Eggs, beaten |
7 | C | Fisher's blend flour |
- Scald milk; cool to lukewarm.
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup lukewarm milk.
- Add shortening, sugar, salt, beaten eggs and lukewarm potatoes to
remainder of milk.
- Add dissolved yeast.
- Add 3 cups flour to mixture and beat vigorously for 5 minutes. Stir
in remainder of flour mixing until smooth (dough will be rather soft).
- Place in large greased bowl, cover and put in refrigerator until
ready to use.
- Take out by spoonfuls and form into desired shapes and place on
greased baking sheet.
- Let rise until light (about 1-1/2 hours).
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 425 degrees.
