Melt butter and maple sugar together in a bowl. Roll out crescent rolls and separate triangles. Brush each triangle with butter and maple mixture. Mix cinnamon, nutmeg, pecans and sugar together. Sprinkle mixture over all of the triangles as much or as little as you desire. Roll from the big end to the little end and bend the sides inward. Bake at 350° for about 15-17 minutes. Take the remaining mixture of butter and maple syrup and mix in some powdered sugar and drizzle over the top of the cooked rolls to give it a special touch. Sprinkle with extra chopped pecans, if desired.
