1/4 | Cup | Candied orange peel, chopped |
Sift flour, spices and baking powder onto wax paper. Beat eggs until foamy in a large bowl; sprinkle in brown sugar, beating until fluffy; beat in honey. (Beating will take about 15 minutes altogether with an electric beater.) Fold in orange peel, then flour mixture just until blended. Spoon into an ungreased 9-inch tube pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes, or until top springs back when pressed with fingertip. Invert pan, hanging tube over a bottle; cool bread completely. Remove from pan to a serving plate. Cut in thin wedges.
