I haven't tried this. Recipe sounds like it would be good.
1 | C | dark corn syrup |
1/2 | C | packed brown sugar |
2-1/2 | C | flour |
1-1/2 | tsp | baking soda |
1 | tsp | ground cinnamon |
1 | tsp | ground cloves |
1/2 | tsp | ground nutmeg |
1/4 | tsp | salt |
1 | C | milk |
Combine corn syrup, brown sugar and egg; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to the egg mixture alternately with milk and mix well.
Pour into a greased, wax paper lined 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 325F for 80-90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes; remove from the pan to a wire rack to cool completely. Wrap and let stand for 24 hours before slicing.
