2 | tbsp. | meltd butter or shortening |
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk. Add the flour sifted with the baking powder, sugar, and salt. Then knead until well mixed. Roll out 1/4 inch thick; cut in desired shape, dip in melted butter and put one piece on top of another. Set on a well-buttered baking sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour. Bake at 400F for 10 minutes, or until brown. Enjoy hot.
