1/2 | C | chopped pecans |
Cream butter and brown sugar; add egg beat well. Combine buttermilk and soda.
Combine flour and spices; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Stir in apple butter and chopped pecans.
Pour into greased 9x5x3 inch loafpan. Bake at 350F for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 minutes; remove to wire rack, and cool completely.
Yield: 1 loaf
