Maple Hot Chocolate

Source: Making Your Own Gourmet Chocolate Drinks by Mathew Tekulsky
1/2 ounce unsweetened baking chocolate
2 tbsp. maple syrup
1 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream, whipped
maple sugar candy, for garnish (opitional)
Stir the chocolate and the maple syrup into milk in a pan.
Cook over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, or until hot (do not boil).
Pour into a mug, top with whipped cream, and garnish with small pieces of maple sugar candy, if desired.
