Barb's Notes: For anyone who likes Sonic's Cherry Limeade, I experimented on my own and came up with a recipe that tastes exactly the same. I went for everything generic except for the Minute Maid Limeade (only because that was the only Limeade they had) at our Super Wal-Mart for a total cost of $3.86 for 48 ounces. I spent $0.98 for the Limeade, $0.58 for generic 7-Up, and $2.30 for cherries.
1 | can | Minute Maid Limeade frozen concentrate (12 oz. can) |
1 | bottle | 7-Up, Sprite, or Twist Up (2 liter size) |
2 | jars | marachino cherries with stems (10 oz. each) |
Place limeade concentrate in a pitcher. Fill the limeade can 3 times with 7-Up, Sprite or Twist Up (DO NOT use the water specified on the can). Add the juice from the marachino cherries. Mix and store in the refrigerator. You can add the cherries as garnish if you like.
