Celebration Eggnog
From the Kitchen of:
Sandy
6 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups dark rum or other spirits, optional
2 cups heavy cream
freshly grated nutmeg
Combine eggs, sugar and milk in top of double boiler and cook slowly over low heat until mixture forms soft, smooth custard.
Chill.
Stir in rum and cream. Pour into punch bowl and sprinkle generously with nutmeg.
Makes 10 to 12 servings.
