Blackberry Brandy
From the Kitchen of:
Sandy
1 quart fresh blackberries
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. whole allspice
12 whole cloves
2 cups brandy
In gallon jar, combine blackberries, sugar and spices.
Pour in brandy; cover.
Invert jar daily until sugar is dissolved, about 4 days.
Place in cool, dark place for at least 2 months.
Strain through cheesecloth before serving.
Serve in cordial glasses
Makes 3 1/2 cups.
