1 | lb | Ground beef |
1 | C | Water |
1 | Garlic clove, minced | |
1/2 | tsp | Salt |
1/4 | tsp | Pepper |
1 | can (14-1/2 oz) | Diced tomatoes, undrained |
1 | can (6 oz) | Tomato paste |
1/2 | C | Raisins |
1/2 | C | Slivered almonds |
1/4 | C | Chopped stuffed olives |
1/2 | tsp | Sugar |
Tortilla chips |
In a large saucepan, brown beef. Add water, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes; drain. Add next six ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot with chips.
Yield: 4 cups
