Tasty Cheddar Cheese Spread
From the Kitchen of: Pepper
Very good served on crackers, for stuffing celery or for finger
sandwiches.
1 | lb | Grated sharp cheddar cheese |
1 | lg | Grated onion |
| | Garlic powder, to taste |
| Dash of | Worcestershire sauce |
| | Pepper, to taste |
1 1/2 | tbsp | Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip |
1 | lg jar | Chopped pimentos (mashed) ( optional) |
1 or 2 | tbsp | Horseradish (optional) |
- Mix all the ingredients together and spoon into a jar to store in the
refrigerator.
(The spread will soak up the mayonnaise, so you might need to add
some more once it has set).
- Bring to room temperature before serving so the spread will be soft.
This is long lasting
(several weeks) and will taste better over time.
