1/2 | C | Butter |
1/2 | C | Packed brown sugar |
Dash | Salt | |
2 | tsp | Grated orange peel |
1/4 | tsp | Baking soda |
3 | qts | Popped popcorn |
Melt butter in large saucepan; stir in sugar, honey and salt. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; boil without stirring about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in orange peel and soda. Place popcorn into a greased 15x10 inch baking pan. Slowly pour syrup over the popcorn while stirring. Bake at 250 degrees F 45 minutes; stir every 15 minutes. Cool, break into serving pieces. Makes 3 quarts.
