Candied Apples
From the Kitchen of: Happy (Carol)
1 | C. | Sugar |
1/2 | C. | Water |
1 | C. | White Corn Syrup |
1/4 | tsp. | Red Food Coloring |
6 | | Med. Apples |
6 | | Wooden Skewers |
- First wash, stem apples. Then mix sugar, water, food coloring and corn syrup in Saucepan over moderate heat.
- Cook to 250 degrees or until a hard yet flexible thread is formed when some of the syrup is dropped in cold water.
- Remove syrup from heat and dip apples, turning them to insure uniform coverage.
- Place on wire rack to cool.
